ABOUT OUR GUEST HOUSE
Located in the very center of Yamagata prefecture in rural Tohoku, Yamagata Guesthouse is perfectly placed for guests to easily visit Yamadera, Ginzan Onsen, Mount Zao and much more. The Guesthouse is located in Link Murayama, a community hub only 5 minutes walk from Murayama station, which offers numerous conveniences such as a gym, a shared kitchen space, a pizza restaurant, cafe, bagel shop, massage, coin laundry and numerous places to relax and meet local people. Outside, the snow capped mountains of Yamagata surround the valley filled with orchards and rice fields with stunning views from the guesthouse located on the third floor. At night you can relax around our campfire before enjoying a good nights sleep in one of our pod style beds

Murayama is perfectly placed to access Yamagata's most popular sightseeing spots, Yamadera and Ginzan hot spring.
It's a small, quiet town where you can relax and interact with local people.
There are plenty of local restaurants to enjoy and you are only few minutes walk away from the scenic country side.
Murayama is well known for its Rose garden and in June and September you can see hundreds of varieties of roses in full bloom. Above the park 536 steps will lead you to stunning views of Mt.Hayama and the Asashi mountain range (you can see them from bed room floor too).

At Yamagata Guesthouse you can enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee while looking out over the town and mountains from the third floor, or why not try a cup of chai or espresso from the cafe downstairs? If you fancy an alcoholic drink there is a traditional Izakaya only one minute away where you can try various types of local sake, or for those on a budget there is a liquor store right next door. Alcohol can be enjoyed responsibly in the common spaces of Link Murayama such as the shared kitchen or living room.
